Athletic Eligibility
The Athletic Eligibility has been established by the South Redford School Board.  The Athletic Department monitors those grades and enforces the South Redford School Board's policy.

The MHSAA requires that all athletes pass at least 66% of their classes in their previous semester in order to be eligible.  At Thurston that means a student must pass at least 4 of 6 classes.  Grades are then checked at the end of each marking period. Students must meet the MHSAA requirements in order to maintain their eligibility.

The Class of  2015 and 2016 are bound by the MHSAA guidelines and must also maintain at least a 1.50 Grade Point Average (GPA).

The Class of 2017 (and all classes that follow) are bound by the MHSAA guidelines and must also maintain at least a 2.00 GPA.  Any student meeting the MHSAA requirements but has not met the SRSD requirements is ineligible on a week-to-week basis (Monday through Sunday) until the student has met both requirements.   Students are also required to attend mandatory study table three days a week. Grade checks are made every five weeks to closer monitor students' progress.
